Getting Ready For Worlds
Swim Smart. Bike Strong. Run Tough.
19.07.2010 - 29.08.2010 70 °F
8 Days until I leave for Budapest.
It seems like this has always been so far away on the horizon.....I can't believe it is all really coming together and happening.
Updates:
I've continued to spend every paycheck on new gear and travel expenses and I continue to not care about the debt I am incurring because it will all be worth it. I'm beginning to think of it / justify it all as career investments. If I was going to grad school or starting a full time job I would be spending a ton of money to get ready and set up for those endeavors. I'm just choosing a different path.
Been placing top 3 women consistently over the past 4 or 5 races. Which is pretty awesome.
Westfield evening news did a really sweet article about my racing last week - they called it 'Cooking up a winner' - ha, because of my last name. Clever-ish.
I spent an hour attaching two dinky wheels to my bike box yesterday - I stripped two of the eight screws and did a lot of cursing. After that little experience / attempt I'm pretty sure any camp appropriate language filter I picked up is already out the window.
