Clermont FL Draft Legal Challenge
Was it a week ago already?

-Great race, considering it is so early in the season

-Swim was very challenging - the water was 3 feet lower than usual so the first 100 yards or so were spent running in knee/thigh deep water. It was really more like a run, swim, run, bike, run event. Having a shaky swim set me up in a bad place for the bike - I wasn't able to get in a group to work together. (Not many women were able to....our field was so small) Felt really strong on the bike - practiced and totally owned a new dismount technique and had a PR on the run (6:27 pace - total time 20:03) That made my 6th place finish feel a little better. I'm excited to be so early in the season and picking up well ahead of where I was last fall.

-"No swimming - Alligators" Signs were posted everywhere. Hmmmm.....

-Pro races were AWESOME!
Jenkins from GBR took it for the ladies and some guy from France out sprinted Shoemaker by a mere two seconds. It was intense and of course inspiring.

-On Sunday we opted for another triathlon day instead of a theme park.....& went back to the venue to do the swim course 6x, practicing entries and exits - biked 4 loops of the course - went out for brunch - went back and trail ran 4 miles later in the afternoon.
Way better than waiting in roller coaster lines.

- Snuck in an 8 mile run Monday morning before our flight.
