Race Recap:
Wrentham Duathlon: 3.1 mile run, 11 mile bike, 2 mile run
There really is nothing like getting up at 5am, to drive two hours for a race. It makes the season feel like it really is here. Which it is. Ahh. YES!
A competitive field showed up at Wrentham – even though the forecast was sketchy. I set out strong running a 5:56 mile, then settled into a more sustainable pace – crossing into T1 first with a 19:31 (my fasted by 14 seconds). The bike was FUN! Cat and moused with another woman for most of the ride, until ¾ through when I made a break. It felt so good to cross that finish line first, I want more of that. A lot more.
Spreading the Odwalla L-O-V-E
Afterwards I got to sample out a ton of Odwalla bars. It was awesome to chat about a great company / product with a ton of hardworking and devoted athletes – many of whom were new to the Odwalla world. Plus it is really rewarding to promo a company who is so supportive and amazing to their athletes.
